GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION

The best decision I ever made was in a 6 x 9 foot cell. I needed to change my life and I did so by crying out to God to change me somehow, some way. At the time, I thought that in order to accept Jesus, I needed to come to him all cleaned up. I remember thinking that will take years to do. Then, a friend of mine and I were walking in the prison yard one day and I knew he was a Christian so I asked him, “How do I clean myself up to go to God?” He laughed. I was so mad at him for laughing I wanted to punch him in the nose. Then, he got really serious and the advice he gave to me applies also to you.

In order to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, you must confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9) I don’t like to say it’s that easy because it wasn’t easy for Jesus to be nailed to the cross for us, but I will say it anyway—it is that easy. But please, don’t be fooled, because that might seem pretty simple, but leading a real Christian life can be very difficult at times. But it is so rewarding and so worth it.
